WHO ARE YER? – DIVIN MUBAMA

Born in East London, Divin joined West Ham as an 8 year old school boy from St Bonaventure’s in Newham.

Originally a Left back, but it became apparent that he loved scoring goals and was quickly transitioned into a striker.

During the 2019/20 season Divin scored 45 goals before the suspension of Academy football due to COVID, his form at the time earned him international recognition with England U15’s & U16’s

In the 2020/21 season as a 16 year old Divin was the U18’s top goal scorer making 25 appearances and scoring 11 goals leading to a call up for the England U17’s.

In 2021/22 season he became a regular in the England U18’s set up and in 23 apperances he scored 15 goals for West Ham’s U18 team.

Making his debut for the West Ham U23’s against Exeter, West Ham won the game 3-2 with Divin assisting a late goal.

He progressed again this time featuring regularly for U23’s making 9 substitute appearances scoring his 1st goal in a 5-0 win over Derby County.

At the early stages of the 2022/23 season Divin has featured regularly in the U23 set up.

And he was rewarded for his hard work when Moyes selected him on several occasions throughout pre season to feature with the 1st team.

Which leads to Thursday evening. Divin made his 1st team senior debut scoring a wonderful diving header goal (we have awarded him the goal) as West Ham ran out 3 nil winners.
