Wolves are back in for Craig Dawson and are looking to tie up a deal for the defender in January.
TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has reported this afternoon that Wolves are ready to try and sign the centre-back, as they did last summer.
Deal In Place
A deal had been in place. But West Ham pulled the plug at the eleventh hour, as they failed to sign Jan Bednarek from Southampton.
It has been reported that West Ham would need to bring in cover for Dawson before letting him go.
West Ham To Enter The Market
Julen Lopetegui is very keen to add some support to his struggling defence. And it looks as though he has given the green light over Dawson.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has added that West Ham are open to offers for the 32-year-old. He says that, like in the summer, West Ham would want to replace him.
Dawson has just six months left on his contract.
Great Servant
There is a very good chance he’ll leave this window, so that West Ham don’t lose him for free.
It’s also possible that tWest Ham may not sanction a move because they may see it as strengthening a side that is near them in the Premier League table.
Cult Hero
Last year, the Evening Standard did a feature piece on Dawson, pointing him out as a cult hero at West Ham. The piece featured quotes from former captain Mark Noble, who described him as ‘fantastic’ since his arrival.
Craig Dawson has been a fantastic servant for West Ham since his arrival and his wish to move further up north closer to his family will likely be granted this window should Moyes find cover.
