World cup winner as a player and manager Didier Deschamp has announced his squad for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
Two West Ham players were in contention but Deschamp has only handed one of our players the spot.
Areola Or Zouma?
That player is Alphonse Areola, the goalkeeper is seeking a second straight World Cup title after being part of the winning squad last time out in 2018.
Areola who has 5 senior caps to his name will be desperate to add to his tally of World Cup medals.
Areola will be hoping to get some game time in Qatar but may find it tough to oust French captain Hugo Lloris.
Zouma Misses Out
The other player that some say should of been in contention is Kurt Zouma, however due to the cat kicking incident earlier in the year and being condemned by the French boss, meant he was never going to get his chance.
