Transfer News: Is Juan Sánchez Headed to West Ham?

As the January transfer window approaches, it seems West Ham is already planning ahead for summer 2025. A number of key players – including Danny Ings, Michail Antonio, Vladimír Coufal, Aaron Cresswell, and Łukasz Fabiański – are all nearing the end of their contracts. While it’s not shaping up to be a complete squad overhaul, some changes will be necessary to keep the momentum going.

One name that’s been floating around recently is Sevilla’s 21-year-old Juan Sánchez. West Ham is reportedly competing with Arsenal and Liverpool to secure the talented right-winger, who can also play right-back. With a potential price tag of around £21 million, this versatile player could bring a lot to the table, especially with his ability to slot into different positions across the backline.

While Liverpool might see Sánchez as a future replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, West Ham could offer the player more regular first-team action. His contract with Sevilla runs until 2026, meaning the Spanish club might demand a hefty fee if they consider letting him go. Time will tell if the Hammers can make a competitive offer and convince Sánchez to swap La Liga for the Premier League.
