KEEN TO LEAVE WEST HAM?

Kevin Keen, the current Hammers’ U18 coach, may be set to leave the club.

He is one of the candidates for the position of new Crawley Town manager, according to The Sun on Sunday.

Keen, who played for the Irons from 1983 to 1993, has served as interim manager three times, in 2006, 2008, and 2011, following the dismissals of successive executives.

Having returned to the Irons in 2019 after managing Colchester United in 2015–16, he has been working with the club’s U18 team. And it now seems like he might have another chance to manage in the lower divisions.

Crawley, who is now in 18th place in League Two after winning only four of their first 17 games of the season, lost Kevin Betsy last month.

Though it’s unclear if the Hammers young coach will be contacted, it seems Crawley is interested and may seek the Irons for permission to talk with him during the break.
