AGUERD BLOW FOR WEST HAM

Since returning from injury Nayef Aguerd has been nothing but sensational for West Ham. Playing 70 minutes v Silkeborg and the full 90 minutes v FCSB in the Europa Conference League.

He looked everything and more the player that Moyes described when bringing the Moroccan international to the club in the summer.

He was composed on the ball, strong in a challenge, read the game exceptionally well, and guided his team mates throughout the 90 minutes. The last 2 games have really highlighted what an exceptional player he is and how much he will improve the West Ham side.

Some fans and pundits even think its time to see Aguerd start in the Premier League, considering we only have 2 League games left before the World Cup break, but David Moyes put that idea to bed by saying in his FCSB Post match Press conference

“I’m pleased for him. I think that will be his first 90 minutes since the end of last season. I think he will benefit from the 90 minutes. He’s certainly back now but I don’t think he’ll play for us in the Premier League before the World Cup break. But if you’re asking me if he’s fit and ready to go, yes he is, and we’re just getting him completely ready now”

This could be seen as a major blow to West Ham or is Moyes playing tricks and using his tactical smoke and mirrors to keep any opponent off the scent of what he plans to do for the next fixture.

I suppose time will tell.
